Database license permissions

The University of Victoria licenses many electronic resources, including:

  • Indexes
  • Full-text databases
  • E-journals
  • E-books

These resources are restricted to current UVic students, faculty and staff, and may only be used for non-commercial educational and research purposes. Access to these resources is governed by contractual agreements, which stipulate how materials may be used.

Click on the search tool below to access information about what users are permitted to do with particular licensed resources. Resources in this search tool are generally listed by database vendor, not by journal title. For example, you would search Project Muse (vendor) rather than Canadian Journal on Aging (title).
