UVic Copyright Compliance and Administration Policy

The new UVic Copyright Compliance and Administration Policy IM7310 is in effect starting September 2017.

This policy defines how the university manages its rights and obligations under Canadian copyright law when copyright protected works in any media and format are used for a university teaching, learning, research, and administrative purpose. The policy identifies what support and services the university will provide and the persons with responsibilities under the policy, including employees and students.

This policy includes the detailed Fair Dealing Guidelines. A simplified version of these copying guidelines can be found on our website.
