Hours of operation

UVic Child Care is open year-round, Monday to Friday, with the exception of all UVic closures and days designated for staff professional development. Parents will be notified of these dates in advance.

Program Hours
Infant care: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Toddler care: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Three to five years care: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Team Meeting Dates - Child Care Programs will open at 9:00 AM on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, September 23, 2026
  • Wednesday, November 25, 2026
  • Wednesday, January 13, 2027
  • Wednesday, March 10, 2027
  • Wednesday, April 21, 2027

Full-Day Closure Dates 2026-2027

  • Monday, August 31, 2026 – Reorganizing and team meetings date
  • Friday, October 23, 2026 – Staff Professional Development date (a non-instructional day for the Victoria, Saanich and Sooke school districts)
  • Friday, May 21, 2027 – Staff Professional Development date (a non-instructional day for the Victoria and Saanich school districts.
