Nominate a faculty member for a Provost's Award in Engaged Scholarship

The Vice-President Academic and Provost invites nominations for the Provost's Award in Engaged Scholarship (PAES). This award has been established to recognize tenured faculty members who have achieved great distinction as community-engaged scholars. Up to two engaged scholar awards will be granted this academic year.

Nomination criteria and procedures

Nominees must be tenured regular faculty members. Nominees will be evaluated on the basis of a dossier documenting community-engaged scholarship. The dossier is to include:

  • A personal statement
  • A letter of nomination and support from the nominee's Dean
  • At least one letter of reference from a community partner
  • The nominee's current CV

Complete nominations must be submitted electronically to Lleona Downie, Assistant to VP Academic and Provost by Friday, Dec. 13, 2019 at 4 p.m. via .
