Great BC Shakeout a success

Thanks to the participation of students, staff and faculty, the Great BC ShakeOut earthquake drill on Jan. 26 was a huge success on campus. Those who "shook it out" at UVic joined over 470,000 total participants province-wide. The drill increased awareness of correct earthquake response procedures, and prompted discussion about personal and departmental preparedness. The lessons learned from this year's drill will be used to improve next year's event.
