5 Days of Action focuses on courageous conversations

- Equity and Human Rights

What roles do words, narratives and stories play in creating and maintaining exclusion? How can they be harnessed in our attempt to create a more inclusive and respectful UVic community? “5 Days of Action,” a week-long event coordinated by the Equity & Human Rights Office, encourages every member of the UVic community to take concrete steps toward ending racism, discrimination, harassment and sexualized violence on campus. The week explores intersecting sub-themes related to race and ethnicity, sex and gender, disability, sexuality and religious affiliation. Come and learn more about how social location shapes our commitment and capacity to identify and address barriers to inclusion. March 19–23 at venues across campus.
