- Media critic or theorist
Student experiences
“I greatly appreciated the required interdisciplinarity built into the Media Studies program. Not only did this allow me the flexibility to take courses that interested me alongside the required Media classes, but my understanding of the world around me [and] my responsibilities to my community [have] shifted greatly through the disciplinary breadth I was able to engage with.
I would strongly recommend the Media Studies program to any student looking for a fascinating, critically challenging, flexible, and real-world-applicable program at UVic.” -Sky Dragushan (Art History and Visual Studies, Certificate in Media Studies)
