Course description

This workshop reviews the procedural and substantive obligations with regards to organizational change and layoffs. Topics covered will include, notice and process obligations, employee entitlements/options and severance costs. We will also review related ancillary agreements. Emphasis will be on the CUPE 951, PEA and CUPE 4163, Comp 3 (Sessional) collective agreements, but the workshop can also cover CUPE 971 and 4163 (Comp 1 and 2) collective agreements should audience participants wish. This workshop is meant to provide opportunity for group discussion and is limited to 15 participants.
