Conflict occurs in all human relationships – at community, home, work, and interpersonal levels. It is evident in workplaces, families, friendship groups, classrooms, and social organizations.

This interactive and practical course provides a space for participants to engage critically with the challenges of intercultural/ cross-cultural communication, and of recognizing the root causes of and resolution of intercultural conflicts, especially when these processes are intertwine with the dynamics of power and privilege.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Recognize the root causes of intercultural conflicts
• Assess the impact of power, privilege and their impact on workplace conflicts and intercultural communication
• Apply some basic mediation skills in resolving intercultural conflicts through role-plays
• Strengthen your competencies in intercultural communication and intercultural conflicts resolution
