Course description

Have you ever wished you could be more strategic? Have you ever been told you need to be more strategic? The reality is that you can’t act strategically if you don’t think strategically.

This hands-on workshop will offer you tools that will help you to think more strategically. These tools are designed to help you to see the big picture and deepen your understanding of how complex organizations function.

In this workshop you will:

  • Understand what constitutes strategic thinking and recognize its importance within organizations.
  • Be comfortable with the inevitable paradox and uncertainty that accompanies strategic thinking.
  • Know when and how to use three strategic thinking tools: Bolman and Deal’s four frames, Polarity Management and the Cynefin framework.
  • Recognize the importance creativity plays in strategic thinking.
