Canada Post disruption

September 26, 2025

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) initiated a nationwide strike on September 25, 2025. This  will impact postal delivery.

This means the University of Victoria will not receive any mail at this time, including donations sent in by mail.

If you are planning to make a gift, here are the other options:

Give online via this secure online donation form

Give by phone: 250-472-4924

Drop off a cheque: You can bring your cheque to the Development Office, located at the Ian Stewart Complex: 3964 Gordon Head Rd. We are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

If you’ve recently mailed in a donation, it may be stuck in transit. You will still receive a tax receipt for the 2025 tax year as long as the postmark date is in 2025 (no matter what date we receive the envelope).

We know that many donors give during this time of year, and we want to make it as easy as possible for you to support UVic students, research and programs.

Don’t hesitate to call our office at 250-472-4924 if you have any questions.
