2nd Annual Student Ambassador Philanthropy Carnival

Feb. 26, 2015

On February 26, the UVic Student Ambassadors’ held their 2nd Annual Philanthropy Carnival. During the carnival Student Ambassadors set up a fun philanthropy trivia station where students could spin the question wheel and win prizes for correct answers. Popcorn and cotton candy was available by donation. The carnival was an opportunity to share information about how the Ambassadors and other students are giving back to campus with the goal of building a stronger culture of philanthropy on campus.

The carnival was also the launch of the Ambassadors’ newest campus service project (a donation towards lobby furniture for Clearihue) and a chance to celebrate ten years of campus service projects. Over that time the Ambassadors have funded campus enrichment projects as diverse as a bike sharing program, water bottle filler stations and ergonomic seating in the library.

The event was tagged on social media with #UVicGivesThanks and #StudentEngageMonth. You can see photos from the carnival at the .
