Marianne Johnson Scholarship

Marianne Johnson graduated from West Vancouver Senior High School, then successfully enjoyed a career as radiology technician. After moving to Victoria, Marianne and husband Don settled in View Royal where they both enjoyed many amazing friends and neighbors for 30-plus years. Marianne was past Ladies Captain of the Royal Colwood Golf Club; an avid golfer and excelled at many sports including golf, swimming, hiking, skiing and softball. Hobbies such as wood carving and birdwatching came naturally to Marianne, along with this a love of nature and gardening. She enjoyed trips with Don and his students at Reynolds High School during the Outdoor Education Class and was affectionately referred to as 'Mrs. DJ' by those students lucky enough to participate. An avid explorer of mountains, nature and people, always interested in others.
