Mary and Fred Colthorpe Award in Music

Mary and Fred Colthorpe Award in Music supports new or continuing students in music education, musical arts or performance.

Mary (born in Victoria) and Fred (born in London and immigrated to Canada in 1956) were long-time residents of Gordon Head, who were enthusiastic supporters of music within the community.

This award was created in their memory to encourage and contribute to studies at the UVic School of Music to support teaching, conducting, performance, or bestowing musical gifts to enrich others.
