Youson Vikes Soccer Award

John H. Youson (BA'64) played soccer for both Victoria College and UVic and Victoria West and later played for McGill University's Ontario/Quebec University Championship team while in graduate school. This Award is in honor of the Youson family name that became well known in soccer through achievements of his grandfather (Herbert, killed 1917), his great uncles (Frank and John), and father (Harry), all primarily with the Victoria West FC. John, a Professor Emeritus in Biology at the University of Toronto, hopes that the recipient(s) will recognize the benefits of combining team sport such as soccer at UVic with the great academic experience that this institution provides.
