"Honouring Aaron Devor" Scholarship for Transgender Studies

“I have established the ‘Honouring Aaron Devor Scholarship for Transgender Studies’ at the University of Victoria because no one else has. This scholarship acknowledges the exemplary and unique work done by Dr. Aaron Devor who has established the Chair in Transgender Studies, the Transgender Archive, and the international, interdisciplinary, and intergenerational ‘Moving Trans History Forward’ conferences. All three of these accomplishments, driven by the energy of Aaron, are unique in the world-wide network of post-secondary education. Aaron Devor, and this suite of Transgender programs at UVic, have created a safe harbour, not only for Transgender students but for the entire Transgender community.” – Andrew Beckerman
