CARSA Building CanAssist Machine Shop Renovations - Equipment Delivery

Outside CARSA Building (north lane Gabriola Road)

A large and heavy piece of test equipment for CIVE will be arriving at UVic on the morning of Tue, Nov 14, destined for installation in the new CIVE lab located on the ground floor of the CARSA Building, and adjacent to the CanAssist Machine Shop. In order to arrange for its delivery, off-loading, uncrating and move into the CIVE lab, the inbound lane only from McKenzie Ave into Gabriola Road will be closed to all traffic for the majority of the morning on Nov 14. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic.

The equipment will initially be set down on protective plywood located on the pavers at the exterior of the CARSA Building. Barricades and yellow caution tape will delineate the work area. Pedestrians and cyclists in this area are to exercise care and caution to carefully navigate around this work area.
