Course Registration

Pre-requisite Waivers

If you are seeking to have a pre-requisite waived, the first step is to obtain written permission from the course instructor. Please contact the instructor via email.

Please send the following to

  • A copy of the course instructor's written permission
  • A pre-requisite waiver form with the Student Information & Student Declaration sections completed 

Year Standing Overrides

If you are seeking an override of the year standing requirement for a course, please email  with your full name and student number, and indicate which course(s) you are seeking an override for.

Please note that overrides will only be considered if you are close to achieving the required year standing.

Year Standing Scale:

  • First Year: <12 units of credit
  • Second Year: 12-26.5 units of credit
  • Third Year: 27-41.5 units of credit
  • Fourth Year: 42+ units of credit

The undergraduate advising team is available to discuss your options by email at , for either a BA or BSc degree. For the BSc Climate Science program specifically, please email . 

Please include:

  • Your full name
  • Your student number (V#)
  • A brief description of the reason you are seeking advising assistance

Appointments may also be made with the Geography Undergraduate Advisor in circumstances requiring a more in-depth discussion.  Please email  to set up an appointment.
