Part of the Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator is a vector graphics editor, best used for typesetting and vector graphic design. It is compatible with the other programs within the Adobe Creative Suite family.

Key considerations
We are currently in the process of updating to Adobe Creative Suite 5.5; all lab stations have 5.5, but laptops may still be running CS3.
