Gulf Island dig reveals surprising insights into First Nations 1,000 years ago
Each summer the Anthropology Department's Gulf Island's archaeology field school builds apon previous field schools' findings and provides further insights into early First Nations culture. This year the students along with First Nations and Parks Canada gained intensive excavation experience that is pointing to the indication of a 1,000 year old site.
