2016 Provost’s Engaged Scholars
The Ring
Dr. Jessica Ball (child and youth care) and Dr. John Lutz (history) have been named the 2016 recipients of the Provost’s Engaged Scholar Award. This is the third year for the annual awards program, which celebrates the integration of outstanding scholarship, inspired teaching and real-life community engagement. It recognizes tenured faculty members who have achieved great distinction as community-engaged scholars.

Kuehne appointed VP Academic
The Ring
The University of Victoria's Board of Governors announced today that Dr. Valerie Kuehne, an exceptional academic and institutional leader and a dedicated member of the UVic community for 25 years, is the university's new Vice-President Academic and Provost, effective July 1, 2015 for a five-year term. She is currently acting in that capacity.
Search committee struck
The Ring
Prof. Jamie Cassels has indicated that he will end his second term as Vice-President Academic and Provost on Dec. 31, 2010. Following an administrative leave, he plans to return to his academic position in the Faculty of Law.
UVic Appoints New Academic Leader

The University of Victoria has appointed Dr. Reeta Chowdhari Tremblay as its next Vice-President Academic and Provost, effective January 1, 2011.
