STARS gold for UVic
The Ring
The new Campus Bike Centre, LEED Gold buildings, staff and student sustainability action teams, recycling and composting programs... UVic's committment to sustainability has resulted in a gold rating in the Sustainability, Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS), administered by the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
LEED Gold for South Tower
The Ring
UVic’s South Tower residence building has become the sixth campus facility to achieve national recognition for environmental design and sustainability. On Jan. 4, the Canada Green Building Council officially recognized the building, opened in 2011, with gold-level certification in its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) green building program.
