An incident of sexualized violence against a student has been reported to Campus Security. The Saanich Police Department is investigating.
The assault was reported to have happened in the wooded area near Cluster 60 Housing in the early hours of Sunday, Oct. 30 sometime around 1 a.m.
Anyone who might have information about this incident is asked to contact the Saanich Police Department at 250-475-4321.
Campus Security patrols all parts of campus—including student residences—24 hours a day and will be closely monitoring the area of the reported assault.

Provides support and response options under UVic's Sexualized Violence Prevention and Response policy and Discrimination and Harassment policy. The Sexualized Violence Resource Office in Equity and Human Rights (EQHR) is a resource for all UVic community members. - Drop-in support groups: The Student Wellness Centre will provide group counseling for any student interested on Nov. 1, Nov. 2, Nov 4., Nov. 7, and Nov. 8 from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in the Student Wellness Centre, Room B225.
