People's Choice Award for UVic at Bear Wear 2013

UVic's Romeo and Juliet bear display took home the Peoples’ Choice Award as well as the Team Spirit Award at the annual Bear Wear fundraiser, hosted by the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island at the Hotel Grand Pacific during December. Congratulations to Sandra Crowe of UVic's Community Relations department for the second straight Peoples' Choice award. 

Bear Wear supports child and youth programming on Vancouver Island, including literacy, drop-in centres, physical therapy, mental health, therapeutic treatment, summer camps and the promotion of healthy lifestyles. More info: childrenshealthvi.org/events/bear-wear
