Jun receives achievement award

Dr. Martin Byung-Guk Jun (mechanical engineering) is the 2012 recipient of the I.W. Smith Award of the Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineering for outstanding achievement in creative mechanical engineering within 10 years of graduation. Jun is the founder of UVic’s Laboratory for Advanced Multi-Scale Manufacturing. He is currently working on a number of projects related to micro-machining, nanoparticle spray coating, sustainable metalworking fluid application systems, micro-scale probing systems, and manufacturing of biomedical scaffolds for growing bone implants.
