UVic clinches another spot in elite “green” car competition

This fall, a new team of UVic students is participating in the next round of North America’s elite “green” car competition, EcoCAR 2–Plugging into the Future. Over the last three years, UVic’s EcoCAR teamcomposed of engineering, business and humanities studentscompeted in the EcoCAR–Next Challenge competition, winning 22 awards. It built a fuel-efficient, low-emission car of the future as part of an international contest that challenges 16 universities to create a next-generation green vehicle that minimizes fuel consumption and emissions and encourages energy diversity.
