UVic Homestay turns 25

2011 marks the 25th anniversary of UVic Homestay, part of the English Language Centre’s programs for international students. UVic Homestay was created in 1986 and has evolved to accommodate international students from all faculties on campus, and, most recently, French Canadian students in 2010. The program contributes both culturally and economically to both the university and the local Victoria community. It continues to be one of the largest homestay units in Canada with 1,200 plus students participating this year and 364 local host families. More info: www.uvcs.uvic.ca/elc/homestay/
