Play That Funky Music: Sixty Years of Disc Jockey Culture (page 32). From Tokyo Rose to Good Morning Vietnam to rock ‘n’ roll rebels – fast forward through popular culture with John Threlfall to discover how the simple job of playing records has evolved to the point where the message itself has become the medium.
Malt Whisky: A Flavour Journey (page 34). Explore the art and science of malt whisky manufacture through this introduction to the history, geography and chemistry of ’s most famous beverage. Each session will include guided tastings with a former master distiller from the Lagavulin Distillery.
Making Things Happen – Community-based Arts as an Engine of Positive Change (page 8). Community-based arts can be a powerful means of clarifying important issues within a group and communicating those ideas to the public in a compelling way. Learn practical strategies for transforming personal and social issues into dynamic theatre events or visual arts presentations.
