Changes coming to UVic bus pass processes

Some changes are coming to the UVSS/GSS universal bus pass (U-Pass) and Employee bus pass processes this fall.

BC Transit is launching a new electronic fare system that will affect your bus pass. Starting this September, you’ll need to use the new UMO App or a physical BC Transit UMO card to show proof of payment on city busses. The UVic ONECard will no longer operate as your bus pass.

Students who are enrolled in at least one on-campus course for credit will continue to be automatically charged for a U-Pass as per UVSS/GSS policies. Employees will still have an option to purchase a bus pass for more than 50% off the regular price.
