The Vikes women's field hockey team were crowned U Sportsnational champions on home turf.

The University of Victoria will be well represented at the upcoming 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. A total of 18 former or current varsity student-athletes will represent Canada across four sports including field hockey, rugby sevens, rowing and swimming.

As head of Surf Canada, Dom Domic (BA ’92, MPA ’96) champions the sport and its athletes as surfing debuts in the 2020 Olympics. He says his love of UVic was equal to his love of surfing, so combining the two was a natural step.

In 2011, Vikes announced that a track runner from St. Albert, Alberta, had committed to run for the cross country and track program at UVic.
