Stay safe this long weekend and limit the spread of COVID-19

- University of Victoria

Island Health is urging people to avoid high-risk activities and follow public health orders, due to an increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the Victoria region and a growing prevalence of variants of concern. These variants are more transmissible and can lead to more severe illness. More information available from the Island Health public advisory.

Island Health urges us to do everything we can to stay safe and protect our families, loved ones, friends and our communities. Remember to follow all health and safety protocols, including avoiding non-essential travel outside your city, limiting your in-person contacts, staying at home if you have any symptoms, maintaining physical distance, wearing masks in public settings and washing your hands often.

View the latest information on BC’s public health orders, which currently restrict indoor social activities, including group exercise classes, dining at restaurants, bars and pubs, and religious gatherings and worship services, for a three-week-period.
