Finnerty Gardens contains one of Canada's best collections of rhododendrons with more than 1500 rhododendrons and azalea plants, over 4,000 different trees and shrubs and a spectacular range of companion plants on a 2.6 hectare (6.5 acre) site.

University Centre Farquhar Auditorium hosts over 150 public events annually, including concerns, popular commercial acts, lectures, Convocation Ceremonies and local school recognition ceremonies.
