We offer interdisciplinary programs leading to the degrees of Master of Applied Science (MASc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). Our graduate programs are research intensive with a limited number of required graduate course, and we do not offer an MEng program or other course-based graduate programs.

The MASc is expected to be a two-year program following a bachelor’s degree whereas the PhD program is expected to be a three-year program following a masters’ degree. Exceptional undergraduate students can fast-track to a PhD program.

It is the understanding of the supervisor and expectation of the student to hold two Teaching Assistantships (TA) positions each academic year within the Civil Engineering Department.

See the handbook for more information.
