Office of the Ombudsperson
The Office of the Ombudsperson is an independent, impartial and confidential resource for students (current, former, or prospective) and other members of the university community. It addresses student inquiries and complaints by providing information and guidance regarding student rights and responsibilities, as well as university resources, policies and procedures. The Ombudsperson can investigate students’ concerns, mediate or facilitate communication between parties, assist in the use of appeal procedures, or otherwise problem-solve on behalf of students. The Ombudsperson may also recommend improvements to university policies, advocate for fair procedures on campus, or provide coaching in the areas of fairness, student rights, conflict and communication.
