Setup WebPhone

WebPhone allows free inbound calls to UVic telephones from any Internet connection. This free service requires no login, no download, and no installation. For more information, download the WebPhone brochure.

To setup WebPhone for your office telephone, follow these steps:

  1. Login to uSource with your NetLink ID and password.
  2. Click on the yellow Faculty & Staff tab.
  3. Click the Personal link under the What would you like to do? menu.
  4. More options should appear underneath. Select View/Edit Directory Profile.



  5. Under the Modify Location/Phone heading, click the Subscribe to WebPhone checkbox.



  6. You will be assigned a unique service identifier. Your service identifier will appear in your UVic directory listing the following business day.
  7. You can also copy your service identifier and paste it on your website or in your email signature. Website visitors and email recipients will be able to click on the WebPhone link and call you directly. When you receive a WebPhone call on your office telephone, it will display as 15XXX.
  8. To disable the WebPhone service, deselect the Opt-in to WebPhone checkbox.
