Instructor iclicker workshop on November 13 2014

Technology Integrated Learning is joining with i>clicker to offer an upcoming workshop for instructors! The workshop will be held on Thursday November 13th 2014, from 3-4pm in LIB 034j.

i>clicker is an audience response systems being used at over 900 universities in North America. i>clicker is a great tool for engaging students in the classroom. Faculty can learn to use i>clicker to generate real-time feedback, and improve student performance, attendance, and engagement in the classroom.

This workshop will be co-presented by UVic instructor Mary Sanseverino, and i>clicker specialist Shannon Frame. Mary Sanseverino will present "Pedagogy that clicks: ideas for clickers in the F2F classroom", where she will demonstrate different ways to use i>clickers to increase student engagement. Afterwards, Shannon Frame will go over other pedagogical uses of i>clicker as well as various solutions including physical remotes and web-based apps. She will look at the different functionality offered as well as specific features such as self-paced polling and demographic filtering.
