UVic Multi-Factor Authentication now available

UVic Multi-Factor Authentication (UVic MFA) is a new security feature to protect accounts now available for all students, staff and faculty. UVic MFA strengthens account security by requiring a second factor when you log in to UVic online services. The first factor we use is a passphrase – something you know. The second factor is something you have – such as a device (e.g. phone or tablet) in your possession.

Enabling multi-factor authentication on your NetLink ID through UVic MFA provides an extra layer of account security to help protect your privacy and the security of information important to you and to UVic.
