Foundation to consider fossil fuel free fund

The University of Victoria Foundation continues to stay apprised of activities and initiatives at universities and other public bodies with respect to responsible investing and divesting of fossil fuel investments.

At the foundation’s November board meeting, board members discussed the possibility of providing an option for donors to have their donations invested in a fossil fuel free investment fund. In February, the foundation board will consider a detailed proposal for a pilot project to launch a fossil fuel free fund for new donations.
