UVic is participating in ShakeOut BC on Oct. 19. At 10:19 a.m., Drop, Cover and Hold On as part of the province-wide earthquake drill.
In BC, minor earthquakes are not infrequent and a major earthquake will eventually occur in or near Victoria. ShakeOut BC is the largest earthquake drill in Canada and a great way to prepare. This year, one million people are expected to participate province-wide.
