A quick Google search for his name takes you to a Wikipedia page that makes you wonder what it’s been like to go from being an international student on a sports scholarship to his current position as an Admissions Officer at UVic.

UVic Sports Hall of Fame for 2019

Joining the UVic Sports Hall of Fame in 2019 are Lori Clarke, a two-time women's basketball national champion; Sara Brant Ballantyne, a member of the inaugural national championship-winning women’s field hockey team; and Michael Holmes, an outstanding contributor and champion for Vikes rugby.

UVic alumnus JC Fraser is general manager of the Vancouver Canadians, a professional minor-league baseball team affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays. Fraser is responsible for finding sponsors and filling seats at the 67-year-old stadium. Last season, the club sold 98 per cent of their tickets.

Falling in love with sociology and social justice studies came as something of a a surprise to social sciences grad Qwisun Yoon-Potkins, who moved from East Vancouver to pursue her post-secondary education at UVic. She graduates this month with an honours BA in sociology and a diploma in social justice studies.
