Mental health matters

The next UVic Student Mental Health Initiative event—”From surviving to thriving: increasing positive mental health on our campus”—will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 19, from 4-6 p.m. in the Bob Wright Centre. Chancellor Shelagh Rogers will emcee the event that will feature keynote speaker Dr. Shimi Kang—mental health specialist, award-winning doctor, researcher, best-selling author and popular TEDx speaker—plus a personal reflection by UVic student and Olympic medalist Gillian Carleton. Open to all students, staff and faculty. No charge, no registration required.
