Women Scholars Lecture by Anne Wizorek

How does one become a feminist in Germany these days? And why is there even a need to be feminist in the country that has Angela Merkel at the helm - who is said to be the most powerful woman in the world? Is online activism the solution to all our feminist demands? And how do we protect the rights of marginalized people, yet also continue to push for a better world for everyone when right-wing politics and neo-fascist ideas are on the rise in so many countries all over the world?

In her talk, author and feminist activist Anne Wizorek explains her concept of #RadicalSolidarity and gives a short overview of the state of feminist activism. She addresses the current discourse as well as the backlash in Germany, and how it is embedded in international political developments.
