Innovating for a regenerative future

Centre for Regenerative Futures (CRF)

Located on the unceded territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Songhees and Xʷsepsəm/Esquimalt) Peoples, the Centre for Regenerative Futures (CRF) at the Gustavson School of Business is driving a bold shift from sustainability to regeneration.

Regeneration

Doing less harm is no longer enough. Our life-supporting ecosystems and communities need to be restored and revitalized. Regenerative sustainability means aiming for net-positive environmental, social and economic outcomes. CRF recognizes that we need to give more to the world than we take.

Our aspiration

Vision: To be more than a business school research centre. We aim to be a hub for regenerative sustainability that inspires and enables organizations to transform economies, strengthen communities and revitalize ecosystems.

Mission: CRF empowers the Gustavson School of Business and its stakeholders and rightsholders to engage in regenerative sustainability by focusing on the four following priorities.

Champion research that helps businesses become regenerative to restore communities and nature
Transform business education to put regeneration at its core
Connect researchers, policy makers and business leaders to exchange and co-create knowledge on regenerative practices
Ideate transformative interventions to foster regenerative business
