WebPhone

UVic's WebPhone service provides free click-to-call VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) phone calls using an Internet connection. This eliminates the cost of long distance calling when phoning UVic faculty and staff. For more information, download the WebPhone brochure.

How do I request or access this service?

You can subscribe to WebPhone through the My page portal. Once subscribed, you will be assigned a service identifier number that you can include in your website or email signature. To dial a WebPhone number, click on the link provided on a department website, UVic telephone directory listing, or email signature.

What is the cost for this service?

This service is provided free of charge.

When is this service available?

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. You can be informed of service interruptions by subscribing to Informed.
