Survivor-led repatriation project
McPherson Library is featuring a series of banners about the repatriation of children’s art from the MacKay IRS done through the Department of Anthropology (Dr. Andrea Walsh) in collaboration with the University of Victoria Legacy Art Galleries and Survivors of the MacKay IRS in Manitoba.
The 9 banners were created to tell the stories of the paintings and their return to Survivors.
