Congratulations to our PhD candidate Tommy Happynook on the successful defense of his dissertation titled "wałšiʔałin ʔuuʔaałuk+i ḥaḥuułi: Coming home to take care of the territory: a project of (re)connecting with traditional lands, waters, knowledge, and identity”.
Tommy has joined our faculty as an assistant professor and has already been teaching courses on Contemporary Indigenous issues in Canada and Indigenous ways of knowing.
