Dr. Brian Thom and Canada History Week video

Our faculty member Prof Brian Thom was part of the team that made this new Canada History Week video on the 1906 trip of Chief Joe Capilano (Squamish), Chief Charley Tsulpi’multw (Cowichan), Chief Basil David (Shuswap), and Simon Pierre (Katzie) to petition the King of England. The petition to the King was an important moment in the history of land claims and Indigenous rights activism in Canada.
