Video: Barkley Sound Field School

(November 22, 2016) - A UVic-produced video looks at a six-week archaeological field school that anthropology professor Iain McKechnie led over the summer. Twelve UVic students dug at an old First Nations village and camped nearby. Students worked with Indigenous and other experts to learn about human history.

This archaeology field school was conducted with the support of the UVic Department of Anthropology in cooperation with the Tseshaht First Nation, Huu-ay-aht First Nations, Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and the Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre.  UVic YouTube  More drone footage
