Times Colonist front page shows residential school art
June 3, 2015 - On the front page of today's Times Colonist, Wally Samuel speaks about his experience surviving seven years at the Alberni Residential School, following the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC)'s report released Tuesday. He was invited to attend the TRC closing events in Ottawa, along with Andrea Walsh (Anthropology), who will display seven paintings created by survivors of that school when they were children. The online story is accompanied by a photo of one of the paintings, which can be seen in print on page A2. TC
