Update on getting your COVID-19 vaccine

Island Health just made it a little easier for you to get your COVID-19 vaccine. Drop-in clinics are now available in Victoria and around the island so you can get your shot when and where it’s convenient for you.

Drop-in immunization clinics

Visit COVID-19 Immunization Clinics to find a clinic near you. You can drop-in without an appointment for first and second doses of the vaccine. Spots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and are based on vaccine supply. Second doses will be given 28 days or more after the first dose.

Want to make an appointment?

Everyone in BC aged 12+ can make an appointment to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Register online in less than two minutes. After you register, you’ll receive a text, email or call when it’s your turn to book an appointment.

Out-of-province & international students

If you are living in BC, you are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine for free. It doesn’t matter if you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

You need a public health number to register online. If you don’t have one, register for your vaccine by calling the province-wide call centre at 1-833-838-2323.

Already vaccinated outside of BC?

If you received your COVID-19 vaccine in another province or country, it’s a good idea to submit your vaccination record. This is particularly important for international students as additional vaccination may be recommended.

About the vaccine

COVID-19 vaccines are safe and protect against infection from the severe disease that can occur in people of all ages. The vaccines cause your body to produce antibodies that will help to protect you and those who are not vaccinated or are susceptible to infection from getting sick if exposed to the virus.

We encourage you to get vaccinated so you can help to keep yourself and our campus community safe. Learn about the benefits and safety of the vaccine.
